Western Front Association East Coast branch, USA, to host World War I History Symposium

The East Coast branch of the Western Front Association is organising a “World War I History Symposium”, to be held in October 2013.

Speakers at the symposium include:

Robert Dalessandro, Chief of the US Army’s Center of Military History, speaking about African-Americans in the American Expeditionary Force;

Timothy Mulligan, discussing an interpretation of the German naval mutinies of 1917-1919 based on new research;

Dr. Corey Reigel, West Liberty University, who will discuss the British Indian Army;

Richard Rubin, speaking about his new book The Last of the Doughboys;

Ryan Szimanski, of the WFA East Coast’s newest members, who will discuss the impact of the naval arms race “from causes of the war to repercussions in the peace which followed”.

The conference will take place in York, Pennsylvania, USA on the 12th October 2013.
