Ulster Unionist Party peer calls for HMS Caroline to play central role in First World War commemorations

Lord Empey, of Northern Ireland’s Ulster Unionist Party, has called for the last surviving warship of the First World War to play a central role in Northern Ireland’s commemorations of the conflict.

The warship, HMS Caroline, has recently received funding of £1 million from the National Heritage Memorial Fund for its restoration.
