The First World War: Perspectives of the Home Front

This conference will address the impact of the ‘Home Front’, including espionage and intelligence, the role of propaganda and social upheaval in the British Empire and the Middle East.

Bringing together various theatres of conflict, this conference will discuss how the First World War shaped societies, national identities and political narratives, and which continue to have present day ramifications.
