The Telegraph reports that a scheme to plant poppies across Britain to mark the Centenary of the First World War – endorsed by the Prime Minister – has failed in its funding application.
The 2014 Real Poppy project was unsuccessful in its bid for a grant, despite widespread support from other organisations and political figures, who are calling for the decision to be reversed.
