Royal Philharmonic Orchestra & Westminster Music Library ‘Behind the Lines’ Centenary project

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, working with Westminster Music Library, will be delivering a year long project “inspired by the centenary of the First World War”.

“Beginning in September 2013, educational leaders and world-class musicians from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will lead a series of interactive workshops and creative projects for families, adults and school children”.

“Participants will find out about music and composers that were inspired by the First World War including Elgar, Vaughan Williams, Butterworth, Bliss and Holst”.
