Restoration of Scottish Highland First World War memorials may not be complete in time for Centenary

Highland News reports that a local authority in Scotland – the Highland Council – may reverse plans for First World War memorials in the area to be restored in time for the Centenary of the outbreak of the conflict.

Councillors will be asked on the 19th September 2013 if the £303,000 work on 173 memorials should be carried out over a four year period instead.
