Public Lecture: The Nature and Character of Military Medicine from the First World War to Today’s Conflicts

As part of Northumbria University’s Public Lecture Series, they have invited Surgeon Lieutenant Commander Jowan Penn-Barwell to deliver a lecture titled, ‘The Nature and Character of Military Medicine from the First World War to Today’s Conflicts’. From his perspective as a serving Royal Navy Orthopaedic registrar, Surg Lt Cdr Penn-Barwell will be exploring the changing face of war and military medicine over the last century.

The lecture will be held Tuesday, 11 November 2014 at 6:30 pm in Lecture Theatre 002, Business and Law Building, City Campus East, Northumbria University, Newcastle. It is free to the public.
