Researchers are trying to discover more about 250,000 refugees who came to Britain after the German invasion of Belgium at the start of the First World War.
They’re appealing for information as part of the new Tracing the Belgian Refugees project, launched by a team from the Universities of Leeds, Leuven and UCL, London
Resources will include a new database for the sharing of research.
The project is also working with Imperial War Museums – IWM – on a future exhibition, for which letters, diaries, photographs and other personal objects are being sought.
