New Zealand announces almost $1.7 million funding for Centenary projects

New Zealand’s Internal Affairs Minister, Chris Tremain, has announced that almost $1.7 million has been granted to 17 Centenary projects by the New Zealand Lottery Grants Board.

Mr. Tremain stated that: “The New Zealand Lottery Grants Board recognises the importance of this centenary event to our nation” and that the “commemorations will provide an opportunity for New Zealanders to reflect on the war’s contribution to our character, identity and place in the world”.

Mr Tremain also stated that the “eligibility criteria” for future funding applications had been expanded to include arts and sports activities, and projects located overseas.
