Located in Pronne, France, near to the Somme battlefields (and part of the ‘Circuit of Remembrance’ of museums and sites to visit in the region) the Museum focuses not only on the experiences of the troops but on the cultural impact of war on civilian life during, and after, the war.
It also has an Education Department containing archives of documents, photographs, postcards, brochures, over 4,000 books and periodicals relating to the Great War.
