Latest line-up of speakers at the ‘Schools and the Great War Centenary’ Conference at Wellington College, England

Wellington College, Berkshire, England, has updated the agenda for its conference ‘Schools and the Great War Centenary’.

The conference’s aim is: “to help Heads of History, Archivists and others think through how their school can best prepare for the centenary of the Great War, which is coming fast upon us”.

Speakers attending the conference include:

Lord Stirrup, UK Chief of Defence Staff 2006 – 2010

Dr Andrew Murrison MP, the Prime Minister’s Special Representative for the First World War Centenary Commemorations

Professor Christopher Clark, University of Cambridge, author of ‘The Sleep Walkers: How Europe Went to War in 1914’

Professor Sir Hew Strachan, Chichele Professor of History of War, All Souls College, Oxford

Peter Francis, Head of External Communications, The Commonwealth War Graves Commission – The Centenary Programme

The conference will take place 14th March 2013.
