Honest History provides resources for Australian history

Honest History is a group of historians and others supporting the reinterpretation of Australian history. They say that their aim is to present “a more balanced viewpoint”, during the Centenary of the First World War.

Honest History aims to present new evidence on themes such as the Anzac tradition, and to encourage debate and stimulate discussion on these topics.

The Honest History website says: “There is much more to Australian history than the Anzac tradition; there is much more to our war history than nostalgia and tales of heroism. Honest History has been set up to get those two messages across.”

Honest History also has a bibliographic database across a broad range of Australian history.
