Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games could see city as a centre for Centenary commemorations

Herald Scotland has reported that discussions are underway to make Glasgow a centre for the commemorations of the outbreak of the First World War, in light of its hosting of the Commonwealth Games in 2014.

The Glasgow Commonwealth Games in 2014, will see dignitaries from around the globe in the city at the same time as the outbreak of the conflict is commemorated.
