‘Commemorating the Great War’ Paper by John Horne

John Horne, of University College Dublin, has written a paper on ‘Commemorating the Great War’.

Horne’s paper reflects upon European and International ‘modes and functions of reflections on commemoration’, specifically looking at the element of sacrifice that WW1 involved. His article also looks at how the Great War became a vehicle for mass remembrance and commemoration.
