Centenary Plans Announced, New Zealand

The History Group of New Zealand’s Ministry for Culture and Heritage is developing several Centenary projects.

Working on a number of digital and print projects, the History Group aims to commemorate the Centenary in various formats and to create a lasting legacy to the men who fought in WW1. The project will encompass a series of books of New Zealand’s experience of the war as well as a web resource being hosted on the country’s leading history website, NZHistory.

The resource will combine existing content with extensive new material to build New Zealands most comprehensive online resource on the world at war, the major campaigns, the soldiers experience, the main units, the home front, post-war and many other subjects.
