Belgian royalty oversee inauguration of British First World War HMS Vindictive memorial

The King and Queen of Belgium have overseen a ceremony in Belgium at the HMS Vindictive memorial, after its restoration and relocation.

The British HMS Vindictive launched a raid against the Belgian port of Ostend in May 1918. The inauguration of the memorial saw descendants of the man who led the raid, Commander Alfred Edmund Godsal, in attendance.
