The Submarine Institute of Australia is to establish a Submarine Centenary Project to mark the centenary in 2014 of the first arrival of HMA Submarines AE1 and AE2. The project will commemorate the submariners, as well as people and places that are important in Australian submarine history.
Commemorative events will take place across the country with activities, conferences, commemorative books and events involving the Australian Navy, Australian Submarine Veterans and Naval Historians.
