Women of Empire exhibition launches for 2015

An exhibition which celebrates the contribution of women from Australia and New Zealand who served in the First World War will be launched in Geelong, Victoria on 20th February 2015.

The exhibition aims to travel throughout Australia and New Zealand between 2015 to 2019.

Women of Empire 1914-1918 explores the experience of 30 individuals who joined the war effort, exploring their contribution across a range of areas including those who drove ambulances, delivered messages on motorcycles, and maintained households and businesses during the conflict.

The exhibition uses £30,0000 worth of First World War era costumes in its display.
