‘What we can learn from the First World War’, a German article explores why remembering the war remains significant

Die Welt reports that Germany should remember and commemorate the First World War, as it remains relevant today. Author, Thomas Schmid argues that the lack of significance accorded to the First World War in Germany is wrong. He reports that there should be more of an effort to remember the conflict, as it played a pivotal role in the 20th century.
