The Wartime Memories Project is a not-for-profit, British-based organisation which aims to “collect and preserve” a variety of documents, artefacts and memories from the First and Second World Wars.
The project aims to ensure that “future generations will have the opportunity to learn first hand from the accounts of those who lived through the conflicts”.
The Wartime Memories Project is actively working to mark the Centenary of the First World War, having recently been awarded a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund to develop online learning materials and an interactive community archive to investigate the much neglected topic of Life on the Home Front.
