The Queensland Government says it believes in the importance of keeping the memory of the Anzacs alive, and is requesting contributions as part of the Queensland Anzac Centenary programme.
The organisation suggests that local people share their own personal commemorations of Australians who have served, or are currently serving, in the armed forces. Diaries, photos, medals and personal stories are all welcomed.
