The Grimsby Chums’ Memorial Projects aims to commemorate the men of North-East Lincolnshire who volunteered for service in the First World War.
The website states that its aim is: “to allow us to co-ordinate the efforts of those wishing to commemorate the story of the Chums and to remind the community of the pride they should feel in their ancestors and what they endured in the pursuit of freedom from oppression”.
Projects that are being planned include educational workshops, a community play and a live concert.
