Herald Scotland reports that Sri Lanka will not be banned from attending a First World War Centenary service for Commonwealth leaders in Glasgow in 2014.
Campaign groups such as Amnesty Scotland have argued that alleged human rights abuses in Sri Lanka mean that no representative from the country should be invited to Glasgow in 2014.
The British Government has given no indication that this will be the case.
