The First Minister of Scotland, Alex Salmond, has announced the cleaning and restoration of Scotland’s war memorials as part of efforts to mark the centennial of the First World War, the BBC has reported.
The Centenary Memorials Restoration Fund has been established in Scotland with a £1 million investment for the estimated 5,000 – 6,000 memorials across the country.
