National World War I Museum’s new Director of Strategic Engagement to oversee Centennial commemorations

The National World War I Museum in Kansas City has appointed Linda Trout as its new Director of Strategic Engagement.

Ms. Trout “joins the Museum at a pivotal time”, as it prepares to mark the Centennial of the First World War.

She will “develop and co-ordinate strategic opportunities emerging from the Museum’s Centennial Commemorative programme”.

The President and CEO of the National World War I Museum, Dr. Matthew Naylor, said that he was “delighted” to welcome Ms. Trout, who previously served as Executive Director of the International Relations Council – the region’s leading organisation for world affairs programming.

Dr. Naylor continued: “Linda’s experience in bringing people of international prominence to Kansas City will add considerable energy to our work”.

“She has a passion for engaging diverse and broad audiences in important conversations – something absolutely critical as the world’s spotlight shines on Kansas City and the National World War I Museum during the Centennial Commemoration”.
