Germany’s Centenary plans: ‘A horror that must never be forgotten. Isn’t that the story?’

An article on Australia’s The Age news website considers the First World War Centenary and why “pretty much nothing” (according to a “insider” interviewed in the article), is being prepared to mark the 100 year anniversary in Germany.

Nick Miller analyses modern German understandings of the conflict and why it is “overshadowed” by the Second World War: “The First World War exhibit in Berlin’s Historical Museum is shocking. Shocking, because it’s so small”.
