Britain’s Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) has announced its “initial support” for the project ‘Empire, Faith & War: Sikhs in World War One’.
The project is being organised by the London based charity the UK Punjab Heritage Association (UKPHA).
HLF has granted initial development funding of £39,400 to the project.
HLF states that: “The project aims to reveal the untold story of the Sikh contribution to the First World War”.
