La Voix du Nord reports that the twin towns of Douai in France and Recklinghausen in Germany are planning a joint exhibition next year to mark the Centenary of the First World War.
The theme of the bi-lingual display will be daily life during the war, as revealed by the researches of archivists in both towns.
The “Days of War” exhibition can be seen in Recklinghausen, in Germany’s Ruhr region, from May to August 2014. It then travels to Douai, in Northern France, from September 2014 to February 2015.
