A new exhibition running at the Bishopsgate Institute in London explores the life of dogs during the war years.
Selected from the extensive Libby Hall collection of dog-related photographs, the exhibition illuminates the role of dogs on the front line – as messenger dogs, sentry dogs and companions – as well as on the home front.
The exhibition is free and will run until 26th June 2015. Historian Juliet Gardiner will give a talk on the vital role dogs played during the First World War on 28th April.
Visit the Bishopsgate Institute website for booking and information.
