David Beckham could be called upon to play in Centenary ‘Christmas Truce’ football match

The Daily Mail reports that former England football captain David Beckham could be called upon to play in a Centenary football match in 2014 to mark the ‘Christmas Truce’ game played between British and German troops in 1914.

“The retired footballer is to be approached by the Government to mark the day British and Germans troops laid down their weapons and played football on No Man’s Land”.
