Country houses in Yorkshire, England, to organise exhibitions to mark the Centenary of the First World War

The Yorkshire Country House Partnership has announced that nine of Yorkshire’s country houses will work together to organise a series of exhibitions to mark the Centenary of the First World War.

One of the first, ‘Duty Calls: The Country House In Time of War’, will see various exhibitions and events organised to explore the impact of various conflict upon Yorkshire’s country houses and communities, including the impact of the First World War.
