The Commonwealth War Graves Commission has made available photographs from the burial services of five unknown First World War soldiers and the rededication service of another.
The burials, scheduled by the British Minsitry of Defence, took place in France from the 20th-22nd August 2013.
20th August
At midday, the burial of one unknown soldier of the Queens (Royal West Surrey Regiment) took place at Vendresse British Cemetery, France.
The service was carried out by a military padre. A bugler played the Last Post.
At 2:00pm on the 20th August, a rededication service for Sergeant Maidment 2/4 Battalion Hampshire Regiment took place at Marfaux British Cemetery, France.
Sergeant Leonard Maidment’s surviving family visited his grave after 90 years.
21st August
On the morning of the 21st August, the burial of one unknown soldier took place at Fifteen Ravine British Cemetery, Villers-Plouich, France.
An Army buglers plays the Last Post at the service.
A military padre conducted the service.
In the afternoon, the burial of another unknown soldier took place at Dantzig Alley British Cemetery, Mametz, France.

22nd August
The burial of one unknown soldier of the Argyll and Sutherland Regiment and one other unknown soldier took place at Woburn Abbey Cemetery, Cuinchy, France.
A piper played a lament at the service at Woburn Abbey Cemetery.
