Chorley Remembers was set up in Lancashire, UK, in 2007 by local MP Lindsay Hoyle and local historian and author, Steve Williams. It aims to commemorate the town’s heritage. In the last three years it has raised over 105,000 for a memorial to the town’s ‘Pals’ who fought at the Battle of the Somme in 1916.
The Chorley Remembers website also has more news about further projects, information and resources of Chorley and Lancashire memorials and groups and links to these.
