The Armistice of Mudros formally brought about the cessation of hostilities between the Ottoman Empire and the Allied powers.
The Ottomans surrendered remaining significant garrisons and ceded territory to the Allies.
This would eventually culminate in the partition of the Ottoman Empire (1918-1922).
The Ottoman Empire was also required to grant occupation rights to any of its territory to the Allies, including the forts on the Straits of the Dardanelles.
The Ottoman forces were demobilised and the Allies were to be granted access to ports, railways and other infrastructure.
