British website Bradford WW1 has been set up by West Yorkshire Lives to document the area’s WW1 heritage and legacy.
Launched by the social and family history researcher Dr Kathryn Hughes, Bradford WW1 aims to provide a detailed history of the life and times of the city and surrounding districts during WW1. The project aims to deepen understanding of the impact of the war on the Home Front and civilian life.
The website includes information about food, munitions, health and poor relief, a timeline of WW1 events in Bradford, set against the wider national and international context, as well as factsheets and details on further research.
