As part of the ‘Beyond the 1914-1918 Centenary’ lecture series, author Gerry Docherty gave a presentation on the ‘hidden history’ of the Commission for the Relief of Belgium (CRB).
Docherty’s talk, given in Brussels on November 7th 2014, explains how the German army was provided with foodstuffs through the CRB. from late 1914 onwards, thus, he claims, prolonging the war by at least two years.
