Article: ‘Russians agonise over how to mark 1917 revolutions’

The Guardian reports that President Putin faces a dilemma of how to commemorate the events which shook Russia and the world in the penultimate year of the Great War.

The Russian leader has “elevated ‘stability’ to being one of the key tenets of his rule, and as such celebrating a revolution goes against the very grain of his political philosophy,” the British newspaper notes in a dispatch from Moscow.
