Article: French WW1 Centenary energy undiminished in final year

Historian Antoine Prost tells La Croix newspaper that the French people are as determined as ever to commemorate the First World War Centenary in 2018.

Their energy ‘has not been exhausted’, Professor Prost says, explaining that Mission Centenaire has received as many project proposals for the coming year as it did in 2014.

The strength of the public desire for commemoration was a surprise, he acknowledged.
