The Edinburgh Evening News reports that a survey of a series of trenches in Dreghorn Woods, Edinburgh, Scotland is underway.
The trenches were used as a means of training British troops before they were sent to the Western Front in the First World War.
In recent years the trenches have become overgrown and efforts are now underway to restore them.
