A group of students in Glasgow, Scotland, have shown an interest in conserving their communities memorials. The students are helping to map war memorials in a partnership which could help protect them for future generations.
It is also hoped the students will discover lost memorials which could be located in former churches, public buildings or factories in the city. The students will contribute to a database which will be used to encourage school pupils to engage with the memorials in their community. An exhibition is being planned to tie in with the 2014 centenary.
