A film about the legendary story of John Simpson, who rescued wounded soldiers at Gallipoli with a donkey under heavy enemy fire before being killed himself, is to be made into a film.
‘Simpson’, which is currently in pre-production, will tell the tragic story of the twenty-two year-old national hero. It is planned to be released in 2014 in time for the Centenary Commemoration activities. The film will be directed by Peter Andrikidis and written by Sam Meikle.
