New Director of Australian War Memorial announced

The Canberra Times reports that Australia’s former Defence Minister, Brendan Nelson, will serve as Director of the Australian War Memorial.

Mr Nelson has indicated that educating young Australians about the First World War and marking the Gallipoli landings of 1915, in which many Australians took part, would feature under his direction.
