Herald Scotland reports that the Jimmy Reid Foundation has called for a memorial in honour of those who opposed the outbreak of the First World War to be erected.
The Jimmy Reid Foundation has established the “alternative World War One Commemoration Committee”. The convenor of the committee, Isobel Lindsay, said that it was a “disgrace” that there was no public memorial to those who opposed the conflict.
