Congolese President Kabila invited to Belgium to mark First World War Centenary

Camer reports that the Belgian Government has invited the President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Joseph Kabila, to attend First World War Centenary commemorations in Belgium.

The Belgian Prime Minister, Elio Di Rupo, has also invited his counterpart, Augustin Matata Ponyo Mapon. The invitation is in recognition of the role played by the Force Publique, or the Congolese Army of Belgium, which fought during the First World War.
