Cambridge News reports that a trench-lined battlefield the size of two football pitches could be constructed in the Cambridgeshire countryside to mark the Centenary.
A planning application has been submitted to build the National Centre for the Great War on land at Hacker’s Fruit Farm in Dry Drayton, in the hope that the £2 million museum – along with a replica tank – can open in time for next year’s centenary of the conflict.
