French President Francois Hollande will lead the country in marking the 95th anniversary of the end of the First World War tomorrow.
The Élysée Palace announced details of the President’s scheduled programme for Armistice Day 2013.
Programme
10:30am: Wreath-laying at the statue of France’s First World War leader, Georges Clemenceau
10:40am: Journey to the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, accompanied by the Republican Guard
10:55am: A review of the troops at Place Charles de Gaulle
11:00am: Ceasefire marked; wreath-laying and rekindling of the Flame of Remembrance
11:20am: The President meets families of fallen French soldiers who have died in the last year
