With just under six months to go until the Centenary of the First World War, the Centenary News website has been upgraded with new functionality.
New features include a Book Zone, Debates section, advertisement and new search options.
Book Zone
The new Book Zone has been launched in anticipation of the large amount of publications relating to the First World War and its Centenary in the coming years.
We are focusing on both fiction and non-fiction books, by providing descriptions and user-submitted reviews.
If you would like to write a review for us, or think a book should be added to our list, please contact us.
Debates
Reflection on the First World War and how it is being commemorated is sparking debate across the globe.
Centenary News will be keeping up to date with the latest discussions and invites you to add your comments.
Our first debate focuses on whether the UK Education Secretary, Michael Gove, was right to say that Britain should commemorate a “just war”.
Adverts
We have created spaces on the homepage for advertisement for First World War organisations and Centenary events.
If you would like to discuss advertising on Centenary News contactcentenarynews@gmail.com, please contact us.
Search options
We have added two new search tools to the website. The first, an interactive map, will allow you to search for stories by country.
The second search feature, which is on the homepage, is by category.
Feedback
We hope you find the new functionality of the website useful and would appreciate any feedback or suggestions.
