Southwark Cathedral in London will host the launch of a reprint of the 1978 book, The Church of England and the First World War, by Canon Alan Wilkinson.
It will take place on the 27th February 2014 and members of the public can apply for free tickets to attend.
Alan Wilkinson will be present at the launch.
Described as ‘the leading published work on the subject’, the book explores the role of the established church in England – the Church of England – during the First World War by using biographies, newspapers, magazines, letters, poetry and other sources.
