The project’s goal is to mark the centenary of the 1917 Russian revolutions by producing a comprehensive scholarly reappraisal of Russias world-changing experience of war and revolution between 1914 and the early 1920s.
They are developing a worldwide community of over 200 scholars collaborating on six core topics
The end result will be to produce several edited books covering these themes. These will focus on the experience of 191417 while attempting to assess the impact of the Great War on Russias subsequent development up to the early 1920s.
The main audiences for these books will be professional historians and students.
The books are set to be published in 2014, as the centenary of the war begins.
