The Australian Centre for the Study of Armed Conflict and Society (ACSACS) has launched a project to commemorate the Centenary of the Great War. Director of the Centre, Professor Jeffrey Grey, is editing a five-volume history of Australia and WW1. The books will be published in 2014/2015 by Oxford University Press.
“We’re attempting a 360-degree history. We want to talk about Australia and the war, not what a few individuals did. We want to set the war in an Australian context and understand it in depth,” says Professor Grey.
The project is being funded by the Australian Army.
